What is the idea box?
A simple and quick way to share your great ideas with your Organisation and community is the idea box. Living in your community, you know it best! You have ideas about what can be improved, what you like about your community or about new things to implement in your area. Here is the place to share them! 💡
The idea box is quick and easy and doesn’t need a lot of research from your side. Simply drop your idea in the box, all in 250 characters!
Do you think more trees should be planted in your city? Or build a bike lane in this specific street? Or more recycling bins? Then, share it with your Organisation in the idea box!
There are 3 ways to participate in the idea box
- Write your own idea
- Support other ideas by upvoting them 👍
- Show your support by sharing ideas on social media
How to write your idea?
It is very easy to write your ideas. First, think of a catchy headline summarizing your idea. Then, write a short text describing your idea in simple words. Make sure your text respects our Code of Conduct before publishing it.
You have the option of locating your idea on a map with the e-mapping tool. For example, pin on the map where you would like to see a bike parking space. You can also support the locations of other participants. 🗺️
What happens with all the ideas?
If your organisation chose to keep the idea box confidential, only the administrators will be able to read your idea.
If they decided to keep it public, every idea posted will be visible to everyone who has access to the project page. To look through other participants’ ideas, you can use the filter option to search for the most popular or recent ideas or for specific keywords that interest you.
Do you like or agree with an idea? Then vote for it! It will give it more visibility within the Organisation.
The ideas with the most support are brought to the attention of the Organisation. They can then be opened up for a discussion with the whole community to turn them into concrete projects for the region.
