Welcome to the first step of your Civocracy journey: the creation of your community!
💬 First things first, what is a Civocracy community?
A Civocracy community gathers people to think together and co-create around your chosen topics. It is made of all the participants following your projects. They can be inhabitants of your city, a certain neighborhood, your region or just anyone interested in the topic you’ve picked.
👮 There are 2 kinds of administrators:
- Community administrator: the one creating the community
- Project administrator: the one(s) manually added afterwards, managing the projects within your community
As an administrator, you prepare the structure of your community, create the projects within it and add the different participation modules. You are the only one(s) able to make any edits to your community, such as setting up a project, creating a questionnaire or publishing news.
Lastly, the visibility you give to your platform will have an impact on participation. This is why we advise administrators to keep their community open, so that any user can find it and join it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this article and good luck! 🍀
