The Civocracy platform offers several and complementary participatory modules for you to participate in. Each module serves a certain purpose, which can be completed with other ones.
Let’s go through each module, one by one:
- Idea box
- E-mapping
- Questionnaire
- Discussion module
1. Idea box 💡
The idea box is already set up in every community. It is very easy to use and does not require a lot of commitment. All you have to do is write your idea in less than 250 characters and drop it in the box! With this, you can share your needs about any topic that you want, even one not chosen by the Organisation.
2. E-mapping 🗺️
This innovative tool within the idea box allows you to locate your ideas on a map. Place a pin and write comments on where you would like something to be located. For instance, where would you like bike parking stations to be in your city? Locate your favorite locations on a map! You can also upvote others’ location suggestions.
3. Discussion 💬
The Discussion allows a more in-depth debate around the topic chosen by your Organisation. It also requires a bit more research from your side. You can share your opinion in a contribution and support it with external documents (picture, video, PDF, link). You can also interact with other participants by reacting, saving or commenting on contributions. Click here to learn more about the Discussion.
4. Questionnaire 📝
Like with a traditional questionnaire, answer closed or open questions asked by your Organisation. Questions can be in a form of a single choice question, multiple choice, ranking, scale, or a text answer. A questionnaire can be used to get to know you or identify your profile, needs and expectations. And it is very quick and easy to answer.
